Job Description
- Work in the Medical Surgical Unit with Good Samaritan Hospital in Greensboro, a 25-bed unit that cares for post-operative surgical and general medical patients.
- Under limited supervision, assess patients, including developing, evaluating, and modifying the care plan.
- Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures specific to nursing expertise.
- Function as a member of the Care Team and Support Team, accountable for achieving patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
- Provide care to patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and collaboration with other healthcare team members according to established standards.
Requirements
- A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Georgia.
- Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
- Prior experience is preferred.
