Psychiatrist

StaffMD is currently seeking a Psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage in Indiana, an hour from Indianapolis. This position offers the opportunity for ongoing coverage with potential for permanent placement.

Job Description

• Coverage dates: ASAP ongoing
• Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, working both inpatient and outpatient (adult/children)
• Inpatient unit assignment every third week
• Call is every third week and shared equally on a rotating basis
• Physical exams will be conducted on the inpatient unit
• Credible is the EMR system (training will be provided), but must have some EMR experience
• Psych evaluations in the morning and one in the afternoon (approximately 12 to 15 per day)
• 45 to 60 minutes allowed for initial psych evaluations and 15 minutes for medication checks
• Board certified or board eligible within 5 years of training
• Indiana license required
• DEA required
• Travel and malpractice coverage are provided
