Pediatric Intensivist

We are seeking a Pediatric Intensivist in South Carolina to join our team. This position involves general rounding and patient care responsibilities, followed by call. The site requires 15-16 shifts per month, with 24-hour shifts and one physician per shift.

Job Description

• Manage patient care responsibilities in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) with 6 beds and 2 observation beds.
• Utilize EMR for charting and dictation: Meditech and Medimobile.
• Average daily census of 4.3 (2023) with annual births of 2,800.
• Daily patient load of 2-4 patients.
• Access to subspecialty backup onsite, including pediatric surgery, pediatric GI surgery, and neonatal services.
• Note that there is no OBGYN hospitalist on staff.

Requirements

• Must have a clean file; rush file or temporary privileges will be needed.
• More flexible dates available in July with ongoing needs for temporary providers starting in May.
• All rates will be reviewed; please submit to the MSP coordinator first for approval before name clearance.
