Pediatric Intensivist

We are seeking a Pediatric Intensivist in South Carolina for general rounding and patient care responsibilities, followed by call. The position requires 15-16 shifts per month, with 24-hour shifts and one physician per shift.

Job Description

• Must have a clean file; rush file or temporary privileges will be needed.
• More flexible dates available in July with ongoing needs for temporary providers to start in May.
• Site will review all rates; please submit to the MSP coordinator first for approval before name clearance.
• PICU beds: 6 beds, 2 observation beds.
• EMR, charting, and dictation: Meditech and Medimobile.
• Average daily census: 4.3 (2023).
• Annual births: 2,800.
• Daily patient load: 2-4 per day.
• Subspecialty backup onsite: Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric GI Surgery, Neo Services.
• Remote Pediatric Cardiology is not available.
• No OBGYN Hospitalist on staff.
