    Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Physician Assistant to work collaboratively with our Urology Team in Voorhees & Woodbury, NJ.

    Responsibilities

    • Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations
    • Order or perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
    • Formulate a working diagnosis
    • Review all lab and imaging results, discuss with supervising physician if needed, and develop course of action with complex cases
    • Prepare surgical packet for OR cases for the supervising physician by completing H&P and reviewing each chart to ensure that the doctor has all that is required to complete the case
    • Develop and implement a treatment plan
    • Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions
    • Offer counseling and education to meet patient needs
    • Request, receive, and sign for the receipt of pharmaceutical sample prescription medications and distribute the samples to patients in a specific practice setting in which the physician assistant is authorized to prescribe pharmaceutical medications and sign prescription drug orders
    • Order and prescribe medications pursuant to N.J.S.A 45:9-27.19 et seq.
    • Responsible for completing clinical forms in order to obtain prior authorization for prescription drugs
    • Complete peer-to-peer review when required by the insurance company in order to obtain authorization for medication and/or procedures
    • Serve as the first in line between staff and supervising physician, handling all callbacks that are triaged by the medical secretary and/or front-end staff
    • Make appropriate referrals

    Requirements

    • 1-year experience preferred
    • Physician Assistant License
    • BLS Certification

    Compensation Information

    Compensation Range: $116,000 - $145,000

    The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, individual performance, quality measures, and location of position.
