Cardiac Electrophysiology Locum
Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Cardiac Electrophysiology (Inpatient/Outpatient) Locum to work in Bloomington, Illinois, anticipated start by 10/15/2025, as soon as credentialed. The role of Cardiac Electrophysiology Locum includes duties such as clinic work, ambulatory procedures, and inpatient call coverage. This position is open for Locums and those with an intention to become permanent. Coverage needs are for 15 shifts per month with 24-hour call. Support is needed for the cardiac surgery and structural heart program.
Job Description
- Perform diagnostic and interventional EP procedures, including but not limited to:
- Insertion, revision, replacement, and removal of cardiac pacemakers or cardioverter/defibrillators
- Conversion of cardiac rhythm
- Measurement of cardiac rhythm (percutaneous approach)
- Cardiac ablation procedures
- Watchman device implantation
- Loop recorder implantation and removal
- Consult on patients admitted under hospitalist and ICU services
- Participate in multidisciplinary care for cardiac surgery and structural heart patients
Requirements
- State license; active, unrestricted
- DEA
- ACLS
- CSR
- Board certified/Board eligible (within 2-5 years of residency/training)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
