Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Neurosurgery nurse practitioner or physician assistant to work locum shifts in Tampa, Florida. Starting in November 2025, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.

Job Description

• Immediate need for an experienced Neurosurgery PA or NP (First Assist) to work with a well-established, high volume, neurosurgery practice with 5 neurosurgeons and 4 advanced practice providers serving adult and pediatric patients.
• This position is inpatient rounding and first assist in the OR, with no outpatient responsibilities.
• Call is rotated among the PAs 1:4/5 weekend call responsibility and 1:4/5 night call responsibility.
• 600+ bed facility.
• Level II Adult Trauma Center.
• Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.

Requirements

• FL state license; active, unrestricted.
• Board certified.
• Certifications: BLS or ACLS.
• CSR License Required.
• 2 years of NP/PA experience minimum.
• Active or transferable DEA.
