Anesthesiology Physician

We have an immediate need for a locum Anesthesiology Physician to provide interventional procedures for our veteran population at the VA Medical Center in Columbia, MO. Job Description

• Conduct pre-operative risk assessments and physical exams
• Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during procedures
• Perform IVs, arterial/central line placements, and monitoring device setups
• Provide care in the OR, PACU, GI/bronchoscopy suites, and bedside as needed
• Support post-op care, including ventilator and pain management
• Participate in the pre-op assessment program
• Collaborate with CRNAs, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams
• Complete administrative duties (e.g., CME, committee work, FPPE/OPPEs)
• Maintain an active medical license and perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• Must have completed a residency in anesthesiology
• Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)

Hours & Schedule

• Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (excluding federal holidays)
