    Occupational Therapist (OT)

    A nonprofit organization in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their team at their schools in Queens. In this role, the Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for servicing school-aged children with special needs in person.

    Job Description

    • Provide screening and therapy services, as assigned
    • Keep records, including daily session notes, quarterlies, and annual progress reports
    • Provide consultation on issues involving effective motor development to teaching staff and other appropriate personnel and programs
    • Conference regularly with parents regarding treatment and equipment needs of their children
    • Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to develop appropriate treatment plans for assigned children
    • Adapt and adjust therapeutic equipment to meet the needs of the children
    • Perform other assigned duties, as needed

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
    • NYS Occupational Therapist (OT) license

    Desired Skills

    • Experience in a preschool setting
    • Experience working with the pediatric population
    • Experience working with people dealing with developmental disabilities
