Occupational Therapist (OT)

A nonprofit services organization in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their team at one of their preschools in Queens. In this role, the Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for helping students access the academic environment and participate to the maximum extent possible in educationally related activities.

Job Description

• Provide the best possible quality care to all students
• Evaluate and treat students with disabilities
• Maintain daily progress and attendance records
• Write progress reports
• Attend IEP meetings
• Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations, or assistive technology
• Perform other assigned duties, as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (New graduates encouraged to apply!)
• NYS Occupational Therapist (OT) license

Desired Skills

• Experience working with the pediatric population
• Experience working with people dealing with developmental disabilities
