Gastroenterology Hospitalist

A health services network in Orange County is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join their team.

Job Description

• Setting: Inpatient
• Schedule: Open to 7 on 7 off or Monday-Friday standard business hours
• Call Schedule: No call

The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for:

• Examining and obtaining medical history and treating acute and chronic illnesses
• Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Creating treatment plans and involving patients and family members in those plans
• Initiating appropriate specialty referrals
• Collaborating on the improvement in care delivery and service with management, other physicians, and staff
• Working with practice management to ensure compliance with billing and coding requirements
• Providing education for residents, medical students, nursing, and other allied health professions
• Performing other duties as needed

Requirements

• Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
• Board eligible/certified in Gastroenterology
