Adult Psychiatrist

A health services organization in New York is looking to add a licensed Adult Psychiatrist to join their growing outpatient team in Dutchess County on a part-time basis.

Job Description

• Admission and discharge of patients, including psychiatric examination, evaluation, and assessment
• Facilitating group/family education and therapy
• Ordering suicide precautions
• Providing treatment of children and adolescents, including individual, supportive, behavioral, cognitive, and insight-oriented therapy
• Ordering laboratory tests or diagnostic assessments, including consultation with medical specialty providers
• Performing first aid and medical triage, including initial physical examination on new admissions
• Performing other duties as needed

Requirements

• License to practice in the State of New York
• Board eligible or certified in Adult Psychiatry
• Valid National Provider Identification Number (NPI)
• Valid Federal Narcotics Number (DEA Number)
• Enrolled in CMS and remain an unconditional participating provider in the Medicare and Medicaid OPRA programs
