Child Psychiatrist

A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Child Psychiatrist for a promising opportunity with their Outpatient Department in Brooklyn. In this role, the Child Psychiatrist will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents in an outpatient setting.

Job Description

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of children and adolescents
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Prescribe and manage medications as appropriate
• Provide therapy and counseling services as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers and community resources to provide coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Maintain current knowledge of developments in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry

Requirements

• Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
• Board Eligible or Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and current research in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

About the Opportunity

• Setting: 100% outpatient
• Schedule: Monday to Friday (4 days clinical; 1 day consultations)
• Patient Volume: 8 to 9 per day
• Call: Minimal
