    Chief of Urology

    A healthcare services organization on Long Island is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Urologist to join their team in Suffolk County as their new Chief of Urology.

    Job Description

    • Provide leadership and direction to the urology department, ensuring that it aligns with the overall goals and mission of the healthcare institution
    • Supervise and coordinate the clinical activities of urologists and other medical staff within the department
    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for the urology department, considering advancements in urologic care, technology, and patient needs
    • Manage the financial aspects of the urology department, including budgeting, resource allocation, and cost control
    • Monitor and evaluate the quality of urologic services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing measures to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
    • Oversee educational programs for residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals within the urology department
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards of care
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations for urology department staff, providing feedback and facilitating professional development
    • Develop and implement plans for handling urologic emergencies, ensuring the department is prepared to respond effectively

    Requirements

    • Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
    • Board Certified in Urology

    Desired Skills

    • 3+ years of Urology experience
    • Previous experience in a leadership and/or supervisory role
