Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide inpatient psychiatric care for patients aged 6-17 years. This is a locum assignment with immediate coverage needed following credentialing. The role focuses on delivering high-quality behavioral health services in a structured inpatient setting.

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment for children and adolescents in an inpatient unit.
• Manage an average patient census of 25-30, including:
  • Daily notes for acute beds.
  • Three notes per week for intermediate beds.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including residents, nursing staff, and social workers.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR system.
• Ensure continuity of care and adherence to clinical protocols.
• No on-call duties and no procedures or surgeries anticipated.

Requirements

• Board Eligible in Child Psychiatry preferred; Board Eligible in General Psychiatry acceptable.
• Demonstrated experience in inpatient psychiatric care for pediatric populations.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
• Ability to work independently in a solo coverage role while coordinating with support staff.
