    Cardiologist

    The Department of Medicine at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine is actively recruiting an additional fellowship-trained cardiologist who possesses clinical expertise in heart failure and transplantation. Qualified applicants will have a proven record of research, teaching, and clinical distinction. Temple's Heart and Vascular Institute (THVI) has a long history of clinical excellence, particularly in heart failure management, bi-ventricular mechanical support, and cardiac transplantation. It offers a uniquely supportive practice environment with an emphasis on quality patient care, research, teaching, individual career development, and collegiality among faculty members.

    Job Description

    • Provide inpatient and outpatient clinical heart failure services, including congestive heart failure transplant and mechanical circulatory support.
    • Work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team of heart failure, transplant, VAD/PH cardiologists, and surgeons.

    Requirements

    • MD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
    • Board certified in Cardiology and board certified or board eligible in Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant.
    • Candidates must have academic credentials that will qualify for a faculty appointment at the minimum level of Assistant Professor.
    • Be in possession of or be eligible to receive an unrestricted Pennsylvania State Medical License.
