    Academic Physiatrist

    The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is seeking a full-time Academic Physiatrist with board certification in Brain Injury or Neuromuscular Medicine. The successful candidate will be providing inpatient consultation services with time available for outpatient evaluation and treatment services. The Physiatrist will work with an interdisciplinary team and have an interest in providing care related to brain injury, stroke, or spinal cord injury.

    Job Description

    • Provide inpatient consultation services and outpatient evaluation and treatment.
    • Work with an interdisciplinary team focused on brain injury, stroke, or spinal cord injury.
    • Manage patients with major trauma and disorders of the nervous system, musculoskeletal system, and neuromuscular system.
    • Participate in the growth and development of current and future services.
    • Shape the future of Physiatry with active involvement in clinical teaching, didactics, and simulations training for residents, medical students, fellows, and allied health professional learners.

    Requirements

    • M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent.
    • Successful completion of residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation from an ACGME-accredited program prior to the start date.
    • Board certification in Physician Medicine and Rehabilitation.
    • Board certification in Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, or Neuromuscular Medicine is desirable but not required.
    • Ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license and DEA from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to employment.
