General Surgeon

Join our team as a General Surgeon in Missouri, a Level 3 Trauma center. This position offers an opportunity to work in an inpatient setting with ongoing dates starting in April.

Job Description

• Provide 24-hour call coverage
• Perform 1-3 surgeries per day
• Round on 6-7 patients and handle 3-4 phone consults
• Shift consists of rounding on a few patients, then taking pager and being within 30 minutes of the hospital
• Field consults on inpatients and the emergency department
• Likely spend 6-10 hours in the hospital per shift depending on night calls
• Not required to supervise other providers
• Utilize dictation EMR
