Radiologist

I am working with the Lambert Radiology Medical Group out of Whittier Medical Center in Whittier, CA, and they are looking for some temporary Radiology coverage over the next several months.

Job Description

• This group is in need of coverage ASAP ongoing.
• They will consider onsite or Tele-Radiology coverage.

Onsite Coverage:

• Candidates must be willing to work at least five consecutive shifts per month.
• Onsite shift times: M-F 8-5.
• No call.
• Average reads per shift: 7.
• Modalities: CT, MRI, X-ray, US, NM or some subset thereof.
• Procedures: GI Fluoro studies / lumbar puncture (if on-site) / none (if tele).
• EMR: PACs.
• Voice recognition system (Dictation software for reads): Nuance Powerscribe.
• Onsite candidates must have vaccines: PPD, Varicella, MMR.

Tele-Radiology Coverage:

• Candidates must be willing to work at least three consecutive shifts per month.
• M-F shift times will start anywhere from 4 PM-9 PM and end at 1 AM.
• Shift time examples: 4 PM-1 AM, 7 PM-1 AM, 8 PM-1 AM, 9 PM-1 AM.
• Weekend shift times: 10 AM-7 PM, 5 PM-12 AM, 7 PM-12 AM.
• Average reads per shift: 10.

Requirements

• Diagnostic Radiology required.
• Fellowship training in Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal, Chest, Body/Abdomen, or Interventional Radiology.
• Must be experienced in brain and spine MRI, stroke protocol.
• Must have CA x-ray operator and supervisor permit.
• The client will not accept candidates who only work Mon-Thurs.
• High preference for candidates that reside in PST time zone for onsite coverage, local drive-in candidates.

• Responds quickly to any feedback or questions.
• They will want to interview the candidates, so please have interview dates and times with submission.
• Client will make a decision immediately after the phone interview.

Compensation

• $380-385 per hour.
