Lead Medical Assistant
Join our team as a Lead Medical Assistant, where you will serve as a resource to other Medical Assistants within your office by mentoring, training, and leading day-to-day operations. In addition to your lead duties, you will also perform standard Medical Assistant functions such as assisting patients and performing various diagnostic procedures.
Job Description
- Serve as a resource to other Medical Assistants by mentoring, training, and leading day-to-day operations
- Perform standard Medical Assistant functions such as assisting patients and performing various diagnostic procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and vitals
- New hire bonus for eligible candidates
Requirements
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant certification required
- Minimum of 2 years Medical Assistant experience
- For NJ only: Graduate of an accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program which includes, at a minimum, 330 hours of instruction and encompasses training in the administration of intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
- For internal Einstein applicants only: Medical Assistant certification is not required if a current Einstein employee in a Medical Assistant role with a hire date prior to 7/1/2024
- Experience in physician office or other healthcare setting preferred
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association must be obtained within 90 days of hire; BLS through the American Red Cross may be acceptable at some Pennsylvania practice locations
