    Interventional Radiologist

    TidalHealth, in Salisbury, Maryland, is seeking a BE/BC Interventional Radiologist to join its growing practice serving our 288-bed tertiary care hospital. TidalHealth offers a full range of services, including neurosurgery, cardiothoracic surgery, joint replacement, emergency/trauma care, comprehensive cancer care, wound care clinical trials, and research.

    The Interventional Radiologist will provide specialized care through minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging techniques. This role requires a high level of expertise in interventional radiology, effective patient communication, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care.

    Job Description

    • Perform and interpret a variety of interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, biopsies, and catheter placements.
    • Utilize imaging techniques such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI to guide and monitor procedures.
    • Assess patient medical histories, conduct physical exams, and review imaging results to determine appropriate interventions.
    • Communicate clearly with patients and families about procedures, potential risks, and benefits.
    • Monitor patients' post-procedure and manage any complications that arise.

    Patient Care

    • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on clinical evaluations and imaging findings.
    • Work closely with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
    • Adhere to safety and quality standards in all procedures.

    Requirements

    • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
    • Training: Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Diagnostic Radiology, followed by a fellowship in Interventional Radiology.
    • Licensure: Board certification or eligibility in Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology. Active medical licensure in Maryland or eligibility for licensure.
    • Skills: Proficiency in various imaging modalities used in interventional procedures, excellent clinical judgment, technical skills, and communication abilities. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
    • Experience: Prior experience in a broad range of interventional radiology procedures preferred.

    Additional Information

    • On-call availability may be required for emergency procedures.
