Oncology Social Worker-LCSW-C-MD

The primary function of the Oncology Social Worker is to provide psychosocial support to patients and their families receiving treatment in the Peninsula Cancer Center. This position coordinates referrals for supportive care, working collaboratively across all departments, disciplines and providers. The ability to mentor and supervise in terms distinguishes this position from the undergraduate social worker.

Education and Requirements:

Must hold a Maryland State Social Work License at the Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LSCW-C) level; graduate of a Master's degree program in social work from a college or university approved by the Council of Social Work; Oncology Social Work Certification preferred; minimum of 3-5 years experience in social work or related field; minimum 3 years experience working with oncology patients.

Schedule:

Day shift Monday - Friday; evening and weekend work as assigned.
