Geriatric Psychiatrist

Tinkbird Healthcare Staffing is seeking a fellowship trained BE/BC Geriatric Psychiatrist. The successful candidate will join a growing academic division with a full-time tenure track appointment at the rank of professor or associate professor. Clinical assistant or clinical associate professor fixed term appointments are also available.

Job Description

• Provide direct clinical care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Responsibilities will include teaching and clinical supervision of medical students, residents, and other health professional trainees and clinical research.
• Inpatient clinical responsibilities will be for consults only on the current 52 bed inpatient behavioral health unit.
• Outpatient clinical responsibilities will include seeing patients at the outpatient clinic and the geriatric center.
• Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5 PM schedule.
• Excellent blend of clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activities.
• Work with a growing, multi-disciplinary, and collegial department.
• Salary and academic rank (tenure track or fixed term) commensurate with experience and academic background.
• Opportunities exist for student loan repayment from the North Carolina Medical Society and The North Carolina Office of Rural Health.
