Job Description

• Permanent position offering for a Physician Assistant
• Specialty in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or related Primary Care specialties
• Outpatient only setting
• Start date: ASAP
• FQHC outpatient clinic setting with multiple brick-and-mortar clinic locations plus a Mobile Medicine program
• Patient population includes underserved communities
• EMR used: Epic

Schedule & Coverage

• Schedule options include five days per week with 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts (4/10 schedule option available)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or approved 4/10 schedule)
• One-hour lunch break
• Telehealth available (two telehealth slots per day)
• Weekend rotation includes Saturday coverage; providers may take a weekday off or receive additional compensation for Saturday coverage

Practice Environment

• Average daily patient volume typical of FQHC settings
• Age range treated: All ages (role dependent)
• Support staff includes Medical Assistants and Care Coordinators
• Work style involves independent practice with team support
• Call responsibilities include phone-only call approximately 2 to 3 times per year (one-week coverage depending on provider pool)

Requirements

• Board certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• FQHC or community health experience required
• Active California license (or ability to obtain)
• Prior enrollment in Medicare/Medicaid required
