Job Description

• 4 Day Work Week 100% Outpatient
• Patients of all ages per day
• Appropriate clinical documentation through their Athena EMR
• Perform vision tests, analyze results and develop a treatment plan
• Examine eyes using observation, instruments and pharmaceutical agents, to determine visual acuity and perception, focus and coordination and to diagnose diseases and other abnormalities such as glaucoma or color blindness
• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications
• Prescribe therapeutic procedures to correct or conserve vision
• Provide pre and postoperative care to patients undergoing eye surgery, for example, examining a patient's eyes the day after surgery
• Work closely with primary care providers in the provision of team delivery of healthcare
• Maintain accurate, timely and quality health records
• Participate in all quality measures as required

Requirements

• New graduates welcome
• Clear and active medical doctor license in the State of Maine
• Board certified or board eligible in optometry
• Active DEA
