Nurse Practitioner urgently needed for full-time coverage in orthopedic surgery.

Job Description

• An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) with trauma experience is required.
• The APP will be responsible for rounding, assisting in the operating room, and responding to emergency department pages.
• During the day, there will be two APPs on duty, and one at night.
• Skills required include suturing, performing fracture reductions, and working independently, with the ability to call in Trauma or Orthopaedic surgeons for backup.
• Experience as an OR assistant is necessary.
• The role involves 8-12 hour day shifts with after-hours calls and off-site call-backs.
• Patient encounters per shift range from 5-10.

Requirements

• Certifications required: ACLS
• The facility is a Trauma Level 2 with a department capacity of 12-30 beds.
• Providers are not required to be board certified.
• The estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-120 days.
• Fellowship experience is preferred.
