Radiologic Technologist

Job Description
- Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care
- Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes

- Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care
- Facilitates regulatory and organizational compliance. Implements protocols on scanning equipment to maintain image management and quality.
- Performs CT scans; obtains patient history, explains procedures, and does scheduling. Maintains training and staff competencies to meet quality and regulatory requirements. Monitors ongoing training. Completes special projects to implement solutions for clinical operations.
- Participates in reviewing policies and guidelines. Creates patient care forms. Recommends opportunities for performance improvement.
- Provides reports from clinical databases. Provides interpretation of data for physicians and staff.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and registered in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). State licensure if required by law
- 3 years of experience in Computed Tomography
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
