    Urology Surgicalist

    UMass Memorial Medical Group is currently seeking two dedicated and experienced BE/BC Urology Surgicalists to join our dynamic team. We welcome and support physician caregivers from all academic ranks to apply and join us in our relentless pursuit of healing.

    Job Description

    • Provide inpatient and emergency department urology consultations
    • Perform intra-operative consultations
    • Manage urgent and emergent urologic procedures and surgeries (e.g., obstructing stones, gross hematuria, testicular torsion, urologic trauma, urinary retention)
    • Provide comprehensive care for hospitalized urology patients, including post-operative management
    • Collaborate closely with hospitalists, intensivists, emergency medicine physicians, and surgical subspecialists
    • Participate in surgical quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
    • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
    • May supervise or mentor medical students, residents, or advanced practice providers

    Requirements

    • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
    • Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology
    • Eligible for medical licensure in Massachusetts
    • Excellent communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills
    • Comfortable managing high-acuity urologic emergencies in a hospital-based setting

    Compensation Information

    $325,000 - $425,000 annually. Please note that the final offer may vary within this range based on a candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
