Hospitalist / Medical NP - Behavioral Health Setting

Job Description
- Manageable and sustainable caseload: Average of 15 patients per day.
- Flexible schedule: Generally, Monday-Friday, day shifts.
- Work-life balance: Once monthly weekend rounding and once per week evening call coverage by phone only.
- Conduct medical assessments, initial H&Ps within 24 hours of admission, follow-ups, and patient discharges.
- Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement integrated treatment plans that address both mental health and medical issues.
- Co-manage patients with complex medical comorbidities during their length of stay, alongside psychiatrists, other mental health providers, and support staff.
- Provide medical education to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, medications, and lifestyle modifications that may impact overall health.
- Provide medical consults as needed in the General Adult units, Mission Resiliency Program (military, veterans, etc.), and Detox/SUD units.
Requirements
- Requires 3+ years of previous work experience as a Nurse Practitioner (clinical rotations and preceptor hours are not included).
- Education: NP degree from an accredited and recognized program required.
- Licensure: Current Washington APRN license in good standing.
- Credentialing: Meet all credentialing criteria required by participating providers.
- Required Experience: 3+ years of prior work experience in a clinical NP/PA role required (clinical rotations and preceptor hours not included).
