    Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor in Chronic Lung Disease/Sleep Medicine

    The Department of Internal Medicine: Division of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is recruiting for a full-time faculty member in the Professor of Clinical X or Health Sciences Clinical Professor series at the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor rank in Chronic Lung Disease/Sleep Medicine. Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service. Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service.

    Job Description

    • The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and an interest in chronic lung disease and sleep medicine.
    • Candidates will provide outpatient care for patients with chronic lung disease and sleep medicine and inpatient service including Pulmonary Consults, Critical Care Medicine, Medical ICU, and Pulmonary Hypertension on-call service.
    • The incumbent will work directly with the medical leads of the Chronic Lung Disease and Sleep Medicine to help grow the clinical service line and associated research initiatives.
    • The position will include clinical care of patients with chronic lung disease and/or sleep issues.
    • The ideal candidate will have an interest and demonstrated success in clinical research and as a clinician educator.

    Requirements

    • M.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O. or equivalent degree
    • Teaching experience at the medical student or resident level
    • ABIM Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Sleep Medicine
    • Medical licensure or eligible for licensure in the state of California
    • ACGME accredited fellowship or equivalent experience with proven skills relevant to the practice of Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep medicine.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and interest in Chronic Lung Disease and the overlap with Sleep medicine as well as associated clinical research.

    Compensation Information

    $260,000.00 / Annually - $400,000.00 / Annually
