Endocrinologist

The University of Miami Health System is initiating a search for an Endocrinologist. UMMG Staff Physician will provide high-quality medical care to patients with endocrine diseases. The incumbent conducts examinations, assesses and evaluates symptoms, determines conditions, and prescribes medical treatment or services.

Job Description

• Provide outpatient care to patients primarily at UHealth-Main campus and satellite practices.
• Provide inpatient care to patients at UHealth-Tower and Jackson Memorial Hospital.
• Engage in training of Endocrinology fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Oversee mid-level medical staff as assigned as well as nursing clinical staff.

Requirements

• MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency.
• Valid American Board Certification in Endocrinology (or board eligible).
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
• Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements.
• Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care.
• Current BLS certification required. ACLS (if applicable).
• Valid DEA licensure.
