    Internal Medicine Physician

    Provide health care for adults in the primary care clinic commensurate with training and in accordance with the general policies and standards of practice. Delivers care appropriate for a primary care clinic with a multicultural adult patient population. Engagement in scholarly activities and institutional service are also essential parts of the position, including clinical research, teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows; participation in quality improvement and systems compliance initiatives; and Division, Departmental, Medical School, and University-wide service.

    Job Description

    • Maintain outpatient clinical practice at any of our UHealth ambulatory locations
    • 9 half-day sessions per week
    • Involved in clinical/educational activities at Jackson Memorial Hospital including inpatient wards, medical consultation service, and the ambulatory resident clinic

    Requirements

    • MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency
    • Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine (or board eligible)
    • Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
    • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques
    • Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
    • Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
    • Current BLS certification required. ACLS (if applicable)
    • Valid DEA licensure
