Physician Assistant - Specialty Care
The University of Missouri's School of Medicine, Department of Neurology is expanding and searching for a full-time Physician Assistant to join our growing Neurology inpatient services. Job Description
- Work independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals to provide care to neurological patients in an inpatient setting.
- Communicate with physicians about changes in patients' clinical conditions, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in conditions.
- Perform treatments and interventions; conduct teaching and counseling of patients and families; and facilitate clinical research.
- Requires basic computer skills; problem solving, willingness, and ability to learn new skills and methods; ability to perform the range of duties in a variety of work settings.
Requirements
- Physician Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty certificate by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Nephrology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Pediatrics, or Psychiatry.
- Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.

Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $99,174.40 - $161,720.00 annually
Grade: PAT - 013
