The Department of Psychiatry has an exciting opportunity for one full-time, licensed Physician Assistant to join our growing Psychiatry team. We are dedicated to the treatment of patients, education of learners, and research into mental illness. The department provides a full array of services including inpatient care at the University of Missouri Psychiatric Hospital (MUPC), 24/7 emergency and hospital consultative services, and outpatient adult and child clinics.

This position will hold a title of Physician Assistant. Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.

Job Description

• Join a dedicated Psychiatry team focused on patient treatment, education, and research.
• Provide a full array of psychiatric services including inpatient care, emergency services, and outpatient clinics.

Requirements

• Physician Assistant (PA) licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts.
• Graduation from a certified NP/PA program and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant licensure in the state of Missouri is preferred.
• Strong background in mental/behavioral health credentials such as AP/MHNP, F/MHNP, CAQ-Psychiatry, PA-C.
• At least 2 years of experience or completion of a Psychiatry PA/NP Fellowship is preferred.
• CAQ/ANCC Certified is an additional training preference.
