    Registered Nurse - Post-Operative Unit

    As an RN in our fast-paced, 32-bed post-operative unit, you will care for a mixed population of orthopedic patients. Our team is a collaborative mix of RNs, LNAs, Unit Secretaries, Nursing students, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Case Managers, Quality partners, Medical Students, Residents, and Attendings who work together to provide Miller 6 patients with the highest quality care. We have state-of-the-art rooms with beautiful views of the UVM campus and Lake Champlain. Every room is equipped with a ceiling lift and plenty of room for families and space in which to do physical therapy. We primarily treat post-surgical patients including trauma, total hip and knee replacements, hip fractures, and spine patients. Nurses are encouraged to grow professionally through orthopedic-specific certifications. Our nurses also have the opportunity to advance through the Clinical Advancement and Recognition Program (CARP).

    Requirements

    • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required
    • ADN required, BSN preferred
    • Appropriate experience in specific clinical area; varies by unit
