Chief of Division of Palliative Medicine

The University of Louisville Department of Medicine is seeking a Chief for its Division of Palliative Medicine. The division is dedicated to enhancing and improving the quality of life for individuals dealing with serious and life-limiting illness. Our physician faculty, along with an interdisciplinary team (including nurse practitioners, nurse clinicians, chaplains, social workers, and psychologists), provides patient care to the community within a fully integrated academic health care system, UofL Health.

Job Description

• Lead efforts to expand palliative medicine and coordinate with colleagues in pain medicine, ethics, and addiction medicine.
• Oversee a well-established fellowship program and a palliative medicine clerkship required for every UofL medical student.
• Manage an established research program supported by national grant funding, focused on interprofessional education in the palliative care setting.
