    Critical Care Physician

    As a Critical Care Physician serving in the Air Force, you'll have a crucial role in managing the care of Air Force members who have life-threatening injuries or illnesses.     Job Description

    • Provide critical care services to active duty service members, veterans, and their families, ensuring optimal outcomes.
    • Lead, supervise, and train a multidisciplinary critical care team to guarantee the highest standards of care.
    • Be ready to provide urgent medical services in various scenarios, including during military operations, disasters, or humanitarian missions.
    • Engage in research activities related to critical care medicine to facilitate continual advancement in managing critically ill patients.
    • Act as a consultant to other physicians and healthcare professionals regarding complex critical care management.
    • Be prepared to be deployed to provide critical care services in varied locations, occasionally in a field setting, where conditions might be austere.

    Requirements

    • Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
    • Board certification in Critical Care Medicine.
    • An active and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the United States.
    • Minimum of two years in a critical care setting.
