    Join our team as a Medical Assistant, where you will help patients by providing information, services, and assistance in a supportive environment.

    Job Description

    • Greet patients and check them in and out.
    • Verify insurance and collect any co-pays or payments at the time of service and update any demographics needed.
    • Answer phone calls and emails.
    • Verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of visit.
    • Prepare patients for examination by setting up procedure trays and assisting the provider during exams, biopsies, excisions, and other cosmetic procedures.
    • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records, completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding, and keeping patient information confidential.
    • Counsel patients by transmitting physician's orders and addressing questions about surgery.
    • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
    • Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt.
    • Ensure equipment operates effectively by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.
    • Serve and protect the dermatology practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, as well as federal, state, and local requirements.
    • Enhance practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
