USGP is actively seeking a PRN Emergency Physician to support our veterans, active-duty service members, and their families at the VA Clinic in Marion, Indiana. This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality care in a mission-driven environment while gaining valuable federal facility experience.

Job Description

• Deliver general emergency medical care, including:
  • Minor trauma and wound care
  • Burn treatment
  • Respiratory and GI symptom management
• Perform procedures such as:
  • Laceration repair
  • Catheterization
  • Venous line insertion
  • Spinal immobilization
• Manage acute issues across various specialty areas:
  • Cardiovascular and metabolic emergencies
  • Neurological and psychiatric crises
  • OB/GYN and urologic conditions
  • ENT, ophthalmic, and musculoskeletal trauma
  • Infectious diseases and environmental exposures (e.g., hypothermia, near-drowning)

You will play a crucial role in delivering timely, compassionate, and comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population.

Requirements

• Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Certifications Required:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent emergency room experience (Residency training counts)
• Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Licensure: Active and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, or the District of Columbia
