Nurse Practitioner - OB/GYN
US Got People (USGP) is actively seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) - OB/GYN to join our healthcare team at the OB/GYN Clinic at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, serving active-duty military members, veterans, and their families. Job Description
- Schedule: Sunday through Saturday, between 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM
- Flexible shifts (8.5 or 12 hours)
- Up to 90 hours per 2-week period (more than 40 hours per week possible)
- Compensation: $74.00/hour + Health & Welfare stipend
- Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance

Requirements
- Education: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE)
- Licensure: Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in any U.S. state or territory
- Certification: Certified as an OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner or Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) by the National Certification Corporation (NCC)
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of NP experience within the last 3 years in a related clinical setting
Immunizations (Must be current or willing to obtain)
- Hepatitis B (series and titer)
- Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- Tuberculosis (TB) test
- Seasonal Influenza vaccine
- COVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, modify, and implement patient care plans and actively participate in follow-up care
- Attend and contribute to team meetings focused on evaluating and improving patient care; review meeting minutes if unable to attend
- Provide monthly in-service training to non-clinical staff related to OB/GYN and women's health topics
- Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and optimal environment for both patients and staff
- Monitor and report equipment needs and malfunctions; support preventive maintenance efforts
- Use resources cost-effectively, including lab and radiological studies
- Be familiar with and capable of operating emergency equipment
- Follow all departmental and facility-wide safety protocols
