    Pediatric Rheumatologist

    Join the University of Virginia Department of Pediatrics, Section of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology as a full-time faculty member. This position offers an opportunity to focus on the clinical care of children with pediatric rheumatologic disorders in the ambulatory setting.

    Job Description

    • Full-time faculty position at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank.
    • Focus on clinical care of children with pediatric rheumatologic disorders in the ambulatory setting.
    • Perform inpatient consults at UVA Children's Hospital.
    • Teach and supervise trainees and students.
    • Opportunity to take a leadership role in growing a clinical pediatric rheumatology program at UVA.
    • Collaborate with the Section to advance clinical, educational, and scholarly goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide outpatient and inpatient clinical care for pediatric rheumatology patients.
    • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
    • Lead and develop the pediatric rheumatology program.
    • Participate in research and scholarly activities.
    • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration within the Department of Pediatrics and beyond.

    Requirements

    • Medical doctorate (M.D. or equivalent).
    • Eligible for medical licensure in Virginia.
    • Completed ACGME-accredited Pediatric Rheumatology training program.
    • Board certified or eligible in Pediatric Rheumatology.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Established academic pediatric rheumatologist with leadership experience.
    • Active research program in pediatric rheumatology.
