The Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia School of Medicine seeks a full-time Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing academic team at the Assistant Professor level. This is an outstanding opportunity for a clinician-educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality pediatric mental health care within a nationally recognized academic medical center while contributing to teaching, mentorship, and scholarly growth.

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive outpatient psychiatric evaluation and treatment for children and adolescents
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across UVA Health
• Participate in clinical supervision and teaching of psychiatry residents, fellows, and medical students
• Contribute to departmental academic initiatives, with opportunities for research and scholarly activity
• Provide services in-person, via telepsychiatry, and at affiliated clinical sites as needed
• Participate in shared call coverage, including nights and weekends

Requirements

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Psychiatry at time of hire
• Completion of fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry strongly preferred
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Virginia
