Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Medicine Pediatrician
The Department of Neonatology, part of Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt (MCJCHV), is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Medicine Pediatrician to support Cookeville Regional Medical Center, an affiliate hospital with Vanderbilt University Medical Center. We are looking for a highly skilled clinician with a focus on hospital medicine and a special interest in delivery rooms and newborn care.
Job Description
- Provide hospital medicine and newborn care at Cookeville Regional Medical Center as a Vanderbilt employee
- Participate in delivery room procedures and newborn care
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinical operations
- Perform circumcisions, UVC placements, and intubations using LMA
Requirements
- Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine or Pediatrics
- Clinical focus on hospital medicine with training in delivery rooms and newborn care
- Ability to perform circumcisions, UVC placements, intubations using LMA
- NRP certified

Division Overview
Part of Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital, the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Division is dedicated to the care of hospitalized children through four specialized sections: hospital medicine, complex care, palliative care, and child maltreatment. The division plays a vital role in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric care while also contributing to medical education, research, and community advocacy. Led by a multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, and nurse practitioners, the division strives to ensure every child receives the best possible care in a supportive and family-centered environment.
