    Primary Care Physician

    If you love BBQ, enjoy music and art, and appreciate the military, look no further and come care for veterans as a physician in Primary Care in Paola. This role is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with typical primary care conditions, including the routine care of women patients. The physician will complete thorough workups prior to specialty consultation according to usual and acceptable standards of medical practice. The provider will follow VA established clinical and preventive guidelines and document accordingly. The physician will report to the Primary Care Service Section Lead and work independently, caring for outpatients in an established clinic. Specialists and other primary care providers are available for consultation. The physician is expected to cooperate and collaborate fully with other staff members in meeting the medical care needs of VAMC patients. The physician is accountable for healthcare outcomes, ethical practice, peer review, and continued professional development to support the mission of the Veterans Health Administration.

    Job Description

    • Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with typical primary care conditions

    Requirements

    • 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

    Work Schedule

    Regular tour of duty: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Due to the nature of the work, the physician may occasionally be required to stay later than 4:30 p.m., as required.
