Licensed Physician Assistant (PA)

Summit Health is seeking a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to work collaboratively with a team of 2 Interventional Radiologists and 1 IR Physician Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to practice in a well-equipped state-of-the-art freestanding Interventional Radiology facility. Time will be split between the outpatient facility and hospital setting providing care for Summit Health patients. Interventional Radiology or surgical experience is preferred, but training will be provided. Responsibilities include performing minimally invasive procedures, seeing patients in the hospital and clinic setting, and participating in department quality improvement activities. No night or weekend calls.

Job Description

• Assist with all interventional radiology procedures as directed by IR.
• Injection, exchange, and removal of drainage catheters to include GU and GI drains.
• Imaging guided thoracentesis and paracentesis.
• Perform vascular access placements and removals including PICCs, ports, and tunneled lines.
• Perform arthrocentesis and joint injections under imaging guidance.
• Seeing new consults in clinic and hospital setting. Arrange for follow-up as necessary.

Requirements

• Physician Assistant degree required.
• 1-year Interventional Radiology experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Physician Assistant New Jersey License required.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Strong ability to perform diverse work assignments and make decisions with time limitations and with a high degree of accuracy required.

Compensation Range

$116,000 - $145,000

The provided compensation range is based on industry standards, and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, individual performance, quality measures, and location of position.
