    Family Practice Physician or Internal Medicine Physician Locum

    Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting for a Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician for a locum opportunity in a primary care practice serving adult, pediatric, newborn, and geriatric populations in rural Southern Virginia.

    Job Description

    • Provide comprehensive primary care services to a diverse patient population
    • Manage common outpatient medical conditions across all ages
    • Perform procedures including suturing minor lacerations and incision and drainage (I&D)
    • Conduct newborn care (>2000 grams) and general pediatric outpatient care
    • Perform pelvic exams and Pap smears (helpful but not required)
    • Collaborate with behavioral health providers onsite for uncomplicated adult psychiatric cases

    Requirements

    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice
    • Active Virginia medical license (or in process with expedited completion)
    • Current BLS certification
