Job Description
As a Nurse Practitioner MAT, you will deliver comprehensive medical care to patients, operating within established policies and procedures and in alignment with state regulations, under the guidance of the Site Medical Director and fellow site Physicians. Your role involves meticulous documentation of provided services for monitoring purposes and promptly communicating any schedule changes or coverage needs to the Medical Director and site director to ensure uninterrupted medical services for patients even during your absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical examinations of referred patients upon reporting to the assigned facility, adhering to clinic treatment policies and all relevant state and federal regulations.
- Provide guidance and training to medical staff, participate in case conferences, and collaborate with clinic personnel on treatment plans while ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient progress in SOAP format.
- Respond promptly to health emergencies following standard protocols, review records as necessary, and utilize available resources for problem resolution before considering off-site referrals.
- Perform comprehensive medical assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations, to diagnose opioid dependence and coexisting medical or psychiatric disorders, making appropriate referrals for further treatment.
- Prescribe tailored patient care regimens, uphold confidentiality standards, and contribute insights to facility committees upon request from the Site Medical Director or Health Services Administrator.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Oregon.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- 2 years' experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Must have and maintain current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner within the state of employment.
- Must have and maintain current CPR certification.
- Must have or be willing to obtain DATA 2000 Waiver prior to employment.
