West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Medicine seek Gastroenterologists (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). Successful candidates will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV and Fairmont, WV.

Job Description

• Practice in the areas of gastroenterology and hepatology.
• Provide excellent patient care while being actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Work within a GI and Hepatology service line that offers a complete range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, treating a medically diverse population with exposure to clinically challenging cases.
• Utilize a new and expanding endoscopy center including state-of-the-art suites for advanced procedures and ERCPs, with close access to adjacent specialty clinics.
• Benefit from tremendous institutional support for academic pursuits, particularly pertaining to chronic viral hepatitis and inflammatory bowel disease.
• Serve patients from West Virginia as well as those from five border states.
• Participate in a culture of professionalism and cooperation within the Department of Medicine.
• Build and design programs within a large referral academic center.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
• Eligibility for state medical license.
• Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency program and gastroenterology fellowship.
• Board eligible/board certified in gastroenterology and hepatology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
