    Assistant Controller - Alternative Investments Firm

    Our client, a highly successful international alternative investments firm, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join their growing Private Credit team in Manhattan, NY. This is a tight-knit, four-person team consisting of a Controller and two Directors, with this Senior Fund Accountant serving as the fourth member.     Job Description

    • Prepare and maintain the books and records for private credit funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
    • Calculate and record monthly/quarterly NAVs (Net Asset Values) for funds and investor allocations.
    • Reconcile bank accounts, loan activity, interest income, and other portfolio transactions.
    • Assist with investor reporting, capital calls, distributions, and performance returns.
    • Support audits, regulatory filings, and tax reporting by preparing schedules and documentation.

    Requirements

    • 3-6+ years of experience, mix of public accounting and hands-on private credit fund accounting.
    • CPA is required.
    • Bachelor's in Accounting.

    Compensation

    • $130,000 - $150,000
