Locum Tenens Medical Oncologist

Facility in Peoria, IL seeking inpatient oncology locums coverage. This position offers competitive rates and a supportive hospital-based setting.

Job Description

• Provide comprehensive patient care including consultations, admissions, and follow-up management
• Conduct hospital rounds as needed
• Collaborate with in-practice APP for consults, orders, and patient care planning
• Coordinate with the broader cancer care team for continuity of treatment
• Cover when the PRN Medical Oncologist is off-site

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
• Active Illinois medical license or IMLC
• DEA with Schedule II authority
• ACLS certified
• Minimum 1 year of experience

Benefits

• Rates: $560/hr
• No weekend shifts
• No on-call requirements

Additional Information

Start Date: July 1, 2025

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12-hour shifts starting at 7:30 AM

Shifts per Month: Approximately 15

Support: APP on-site; PRN Medical Oncologist available one week per month

EMR: EPIC

Privileges: Full or Temporary available

Estimated Credentialing Time: 60 days
